Glamour of the gods

Last Friday I decided to take my mum to see the Glamour of the Gods exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in Trafalgar Square. They have late night openings on Thursdays and Friday until 9pm so its perfect for an after work outing. They even have wine available to purchase while you wait for your allocated time slot to look round the exhibition, and at £4 for 241 it is a real bargain. It was quite nice too!

Anyway, we avoided getting soaked by the torrential rain and battled the crowded underground due to signal failures on the Bakerloo line to finally make it from Oxford Circus to Leicester Square, where the Portrait Gallery is only a two minute walk away. We gladly purchased a glass of wine and stood in the foyer chatting until our time slot to enter the exhibition at 6.30pm arrived.

The exhibition isn't huge but it is certainly worth a visit to view the most stunning collection of iconic black and white photographs of superstars throughout the decades. Here is a glance at a few of them but if you want to see them for yourself get yourself down to the National Portrait Gallery by the end of this month before it finishes.
