I don't know about you but I am definitely starting to get excited about the fact that summer is finally on the horizon. The evenings are getting lighter, there is definitely a warmth in the air (even when its raining) and we are starting to feel the glow of sunshine on our skins.
With this summer vibe just beginning it has made me re-evaluate the contents of my wardrobe and crave a a host of new summery delights to add a little extra sparkle to my closet. As a result I have been scaling not only the shops but also the internet for some inspiration and I have come across a new website called Ark.co.uk.
Ark describes itself as one of the country's leading retailers, setting trends and making sure shoppers stay up to date with all the latest looks and labels at affordable prices. They started in 1992 and aimed to fill a gap in the market for a fresh, street wear retailer that would appeal to young, edgy shoppers - and their stock does complement this ethos.

Now one of my favourite trends which is back on top of the fashion agenda this SS14 is the co-ord, and Ark is packed full of fun and exciting co-ord outfits to appeal to a selection of personal styles, tastes, ages and occasions. Now co-ords are not a trend for everyone but the best thing about the trend is you get two items that can be mixed and matched with a selection of other garments in your wardrobe to create a unique collection of looks as well as worn together for an SS14 on-trend summer ensemble.
My favourite co-ords are the jacket and trouser/short/skirt combo but there are a lot on the high street with t-shirt/skirt/short/skort combo.

The t-shirt and short co-ord almost look like a fun playsuit but give you the option to wear together or separately. They are also more suitable for a more formal work environment while still being on trend for SS14. The shear panelling in the top and shorts give it fun detail too.
