Pop-up to Cardiff this weekend

I got an email this morning from a fashion promotions student at the University of Glamorgan about Cardiff's first ever fashion pop-up store. Shop11 as the pop-up is called, will be selling limited edition T-shirts designed by Cardiff's very own up and coming designers.

In order to get your hands on these limited edition t-shirts and check out some of Cardiff's future fashion talent that could be gracing the catwalk at London Fashion Week in years to come, you will need to go to the Eastside Food Hall in St David's 2 between Thursday 1st December and Sunday 4th December.

The fashion promotion students are also holding a special preview party in Peppermint Bar on Wednesday from 7.30-10.30pm, where you will be able to preview the exciting t-shirt designs and meet some of talented young designers to find out the inspiration behind their designs, but in the meantime be sure to check them out in town this weekend - see below for more details.

SHOP 11

Shop 11 is the first ever pop-up clothing store to open in Cardiff. St David’s Centre 2 will play host to this new and exciting experience giving fashion fanatics in South Wales a chance to buy limited edition T-shirts, from the new brand Stockholm-lima.

Stockholm-lima focuses on the celebration and promotion of creative individuals, giving them a platform for their work. Each limited edition T-shirt is designed by an up and coming fashion designer from the University of Glamorgan.

Pop-up stores are a regular occurrence in the fashion capitals, London, Paris and New York. With the recent expansion of the St David’s Centre, it’s only appropriate to see a pop-up store in Cardiff.

The concept behind Shop 11 is to convey to the fashion studio to the public in a fresh, new and exciting approach. In-store stylists will create the perfect outfit for each customer allowing them to experience what it’s like to be a fashion model through the functioning photography studio.

Shop 11 is only open for four days from the 1st December to the 4th December 2011 with only 25 prints of each T-shirt; make sure you do not miss out by visiting the store at the Food Hall, Eastside in St David’s Centre 2.
