SHOPAHOLICS UNITE FOR DESIGNER BOOT

What: Calling all fashionista’s - The perfect opportunity has arisen in Cardiff for fashion addicts, bargain hunters and style savvy shopaholics to unite in the name of fashion as they are presented with the opportunity to get their hands on fellow fashionista’s unwanted garments.

When: Monday 5 December, 6pm – 9pm

Where: Potted Pig, St Mary’s Street, Cardiff.

The Designer Boot, as the event is called, is a car boot sale style concept with a fashionable twist and is the brainchild of self-confessed shopaholics, Carys Rees and Rosalyn Brown, who originally came up with the idea of the event to help her de-clutter and streamline her own wardrobe.

Carys, 30 said, “The concept is a little like Ebay but there are no bidding wars or postage and package fees, and you get to feel, see and even try the items on, which for me is a real bonus. Its the classic saying that, one person's junk is another person’s treasure, and this is really the case with the Designer Boot. So many women buy an outfit for a specific occasion or on a whim, wear it once and then it hides in the back of your wardrobe never to see the light of day ever again wear. All the clothes on sale are in mint condition, so this is the perfect opportunity for women to pick up some brilliant bargains”.

“With Christmas fast approaching and purse strings tighter than ever, it gives us girls the chance to get a new frock for our Christmas party for a fraction of the price.”

There will be an abundance of fashionistas with packed rails and stalls selling everything from handbags to jewellery and coats to dresses. In addition we have a special Welsh designers showcasing her new jewellery collection, Emma-Kate Francis will be showcasing making her debut appearance at Designer Boot as she showcases a collection of stunning, original pieces, perfect for the festive season. Liberty Hair and Beauty Salon will also be offering discounted manicures, threading, pedicures, head massages and eye lash extensions.

Rosalyn added, “It will be a lovely girlie evening to get us all in the Christmas spirit.”

Tickets are £5 on the door, but anyone who writes on the Designer Boot Facebook wall or tweets organisers Carys and Rosalyn at @designerboot will also receive a discounted entry fee of just £3.
