Styling for Miss Hampshire

As the events manager for the Miss Hampshire regional qualifier for Miss England, i was required to style each of the contestants as part of their fashion round in the competition.

Next and Monsoon were supplying clothes for the girls, so my job was to delve through the garments on offer both stores and select the clothes that I thought would complement each of the contestants individual shapes, sizes and styles. Before I embarked on the task I decided that I would stick to either one pieces like dresses, jumpsuits, playsuits, as they would be simpler to pick for the 12 girls.
My hardest task was having to select the clothes from Next and Monsoon because they are shops that I am not as accustomed with as shops like Topshop, H&M, River Island, Dorothy Perkins etc so first of all I had to register what sort of clothes were on offer.

So as I entered the stores I scoured round for potential pieces and then decided which girl the garment would suit. It was a lot more stressful and difficult than I thought it would be but I was very pleased that most of the girls not only looked great in their outfits but actually liked what I had chosen for them!
