Belt up
Belts are one of my favourite accessories, and one of the most essential additions to any outfit.
They may also have their practical uses, however a good belt can literally transform an outfit from drab to fab (excuse the pun). I must have more than 30 belts hanging from various hooks and hangers in my wardrobe and around my room, with each one helping me to achieve a specific look and completing my outfit. Every wardrobe should have a good selection of chunky belts, skinny belts, waist belts, hip belts, brightly coloured belts, vintage belts, gold belts and patterned belts....you can never have too many, believe me. What I really love about a belt is that it can not only help you to achieve a specific look, you can also have fun with them as well as creating a more flattering outfit by nipping you in at the waist and helping you to emphasize the smallest part of your body, so its win, win all round!
I hope I have convinced you to raid the accessories department of the high street retailers and grab a selection of different styles to complete your closet and help you create different looks from the same dress or skirt. Here is a selection currently available in the shops and certainly worth the investment to help you transform an outfit.
